Claire provides litigation and claims prevention representation to all aspects of the construction industry including large public and private owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and sureties and insurers regarding contracting, risk management, and claims avoidance and resolution from contract execution through close out and claims resolution; representation in mediation, arbitration, and litigation; contractor licensing and administrative issues.
Claire provided legal counsel, as Director of Legal Affairs, to Universal City Development Partners, advising the partnership regarding over 1,100 contracts for its $2.5 billion expansion to Universal OrlandoSM - Universal Studios Islands of AdventureSM; Universal Studios CityWalkSM; The Portofino Bay Hotel, The Hard Rock Hotel, and the Royal Pacific, all Loews hotels at Universal Studios EscapeSM; along with resort infrastructure including north and south parking structures, roadways, waterways, and Interstate-4 interchange. Representation included step-negotiation and pre-suit mediation for the design, construction, and attraction development projects.
- Representation to aviation service providers, as Senior Legal Counsel for BBA Aviation Services Group, for their real estate leasing and developing requirements as well as general and commercial aviation operational agreements: equipment leases, general aviation services, air carrier into-plane fueling and ground handling, fuel facility operation, glycol recovery and deicing services; and analysis required for corporate mergers and acquisitions.
